 Time: 8:45 - 9:30

Session Leader: Magnus Carling – CISO – Stena AB

Session Title: Strengthening the security voice

These days everyone is aware of cyber threats and cyber/information-security has indeed become part of the agenda for the board, top management and audit committees. But still security is considered something that is added on top of everything else, not a topic that is integrated into the business decisions and all project initiatives. Security is still seen as something that is required, but not always seen as the business enabler that security actually is.

This session will discuss how to strengthen the security voice in your company, how to find ambassadors and work from all possible angles in creating a culture of security. As the global threat level continue to increase, a company that doesn't have a strong security voice will have a much harder time surviving cyber attacks.

Key Takeaways:

Get to know the current cyber threats.

Understand the key drivers for an holistic information security program.

Strengthen your security culture.

Session 2 - Open Forum

 Time: 9:30 - 10:15

Session Leader: Jacob Henricson – Advisor GDPR and Cybersecurity – Knokle

Session Title: GDPR and it's Effects: GDPR for CIOs

As the GDPR comes into effect, focus of discussion is gradually shifting from scaremongering and discussion of fines to pragmatic implementation challenges. IT organizations bear the brunt of many GDPR implementations and feel the pressure both from the business side and from vendors trying to push different "GDPR solutions". How does a CIO navigate through the "unknown unknowns" of GDPR implementation?

Based on experiences from over 20 different GDPR-implementation projects, this session looks at GDPR from requirements to practical implementation, focusing on typical issues that will meet the CIOs and IT organizations in different companies.

Key Takeaways:

  • What annoys people when their personal data is being (mis)handled?

  • What are the regulators looking for?

  • How do you apply "the Red Face test" to GDPR to find pragmatic solutions to tricky issues?

  • What are the typical challenges for an IT organization?

  • What are others doing?

  • What are the minimum measures that all IT organizations need to implement.?
